    Evaluation of Applicants for Fellowship

    Evaluation of applicants for Fellowship is based on information relating to the applicant’s endodontic experience, professional competence and ethical conduct. Such information is obtained from the application, from the references provided by the applicant, from the IARE committee, and from other relevant sources. Incomplete applications will be returned and the applicant will be invited to submit a completed application for consideration the following year. IARE respects the privacy of the applicant and provides information concerning the status of an application only to the applicant or those involved in the evaluation.

    In some instances, IARE may request an interview with the applicant. When this occurs, the committee constituted for this purpose will provide a written report and recommendations to the IARE regarding the applicant’s eligibility for Fellowship. After carefully reviewing and evaluating all information, IARE will make one of three decisions:

    • Approved for Fellowship

    • Postponed for Fellowship—six months. This will give the applicant an opportunity to acquire further knowledge or additional experience;

    • Denied Fellowship. Following a denial, an applicant may submit a new application after a waiting period of one year.
