Rotary Endo training 2006 at Texas
A Lecture/Participation Course on Smart Rotary Endodontics
Overview
This course will describe the procedures necessary to achieve predictable
outcomes while treating endodontic patients effectively and efficiently.
Scientific material will be presented on the latest methods needed to ensure
proper access, cleaning, shaping and obturation of root canals. The lecture will
review anatomical studies and suggest a technique for proper apical, coronal and
mid-root preparation. Clinicians will gain valuable information on the latest
scientific and endodontic technology so they can better determine which
innovations to incorporate into their practices.
HANDS-ON SESSION
Participants will receive step-by-step instruction on the use of “LightSpeed and SimpliFill” under the guidance of a certified instructor. Practice will be provided for instrumenting simulated curved canals. Those interested in doing technique on extracted teeth, should bring teeth with access cavity prepared. Subject to availability of an appropriate magnifying device, root tip will be sectioned and examined after obturation.
Objectives• Achieve StraightLine Access.
• Clean, shape and fill 3-dimensionally.
• Complete more difficult cases with confidence.
• Finish most molar cases in single sitting
• Achieve predictable endodontic results.
• Provide one appointment endo and optimum care.
Certificates from LightSpeed Endodontics, USA will be awarded to the participants.
Hands on participants not exceeding 10. Any number for lecture ONLY.
NOTE:Bring one or more extracted teeth with the following criteria:
1. Mandibular incisor with a narrow canal(s). Do not select teeth with severe
curvatures, wide-open apexes or very large canals.
2. Prior to the course, make an endodontic access; then place a #15 K-type file
in each canal to the working length.
3. Take a radiograph of each tooth with the file(s) in place. Clinical and
proximal views should be made.
